About the role Santi is not a simple SaaS dashboard. It is a real-time structural detection engine that processes aggregate signals, applies governed pattern-detection algorithms, and surfaces clinical-consequence findings to healthcare executives. The Founding Technical Lead owns the architecture, quality, and evolution of that system.This role requires someone who understands the difference between code that works and architecture that holds — and who cares about both. The platform must be defensible, extensible, and trustworthy enough to operate inside health systems. That requires engineering leadership, not just engineering output. What you will own The backend architecture and data pipeline for signal ingestion, processing, and pattern detection Engineering standards, code review culture, and technical debt management API design and the integration layer connecting the signal collection interface to the analytics environment Infrastructure reliability, security posture, and de-identification architecture Hiring and mentoring technical team members as the company grows Technical collaboration with the Product Designer and Mobile Lead on interface delivery Who tends to thrive in this role Strong candidates have built and led engineering on systems where the quality of the output had real consequences — not just uptime, but correctness, defensibility, and trust. They are comfortable in early-stage environments and understand that architecture decisions made now will either enable or limit the company for years. They have opinions about how things should be built, and they back those opinions with evidence.
