Social + Community Manager (IRL + Internet Energy)
At Plot, we believe social media is the heartbeat of brands. But the best brands don’t just show up on feeds, they build communities people want to be part of.
We’re looking for someone to make Plot feel like that. This role is part operator, part creator, part host. You’ll bring Plot to life (online and offline) and make sure people don’t just know us… they feel us.
What You'll Do
Build community (not just an audience)
- Create experiences that make people want to engage with Plot — whether that’s on social, in Slack groups, or IRL
- Turn customers into champions and lurkers into contributors
- Be in it — responding, engaging, sparking conversations daily
Own events end to end
- Concept → execute → amplify
- Host dinners, small curated gatherings, and larger brand moments
- Make events feel thoughtful, high taste, and actually fun (not transactional or corporate)
- Capture and extend the life of every event into content
Create content that feels like Plot
- Develop and post content that highlights our community, insights, and POV
- Turn conversations, events, and trends into shareable moments
- Collaborate with the team to bring our voice to life across channels
- Be comfortable on camera
Make Plot feel alive
- You’re the connective tissue between customers, creators, and our team
- Constantly thinking: “how do we make this more engaging, more fun, more us?”
- Bring new ideas weekly — formats, series, events, experiments
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in branding, social, or community
- You have taste — you know what feels cool vs forced
- You’re naturally social (online and offline)
- You’ve built or grown a community before (brand, creator, or personal)
- You’re scrappy and execute quickly... you don’t wait for perfect
- You’re equal parts creative and organized (ideas + follow-through)
- You’re obsessed with internet culture and how people connect today
Bonus if you....
- Have experience hosting events or building IRL communities
- Are already plugged into marketing / creator / brand circles
- Have strong content instincts (you know what will hit)
